Weekly Notes #3

This is a mash of the last few weeks, I feel like change is in the air with spring coming so a few different things have been happening.

Exercise: Let's just say that it wasn't a very successful 4 week challenge. Kate and I lost motivation about half way through but we've started again and going strong so far!

Blogging: Went to a super fun bloggers dinner organised by Monique of M0naventure. It was so nice to catch up with some school friends I haven’t seen in years. Years. I’m looking at you Sonam!

Decorating: The Keep it Sweet girls and I made a beautiful candy table for the Melbourne High 2014 Formal at the Grand Hyatt. I was so proud of what we achieved and the end result looked pretty spectacular.

Exploring: I’ve been wandering around the city on my lunch break and found a variety of couches in different building foyers to laze around and read comfortably on. Flagstaff Gardens is pretty close too (see above) and its a nice break for the eyes with so much green around.

Eating: I banned myself from eating packet chips last Thursday but also made a list of healthy snacks to keep myself distracted with instead. My go to has been home made popcorn and apples with peanut butter.

Celebrating: We celebrated Dad's 50th birthday with so many lovely people. I made a Blueberry and White Chocolate Cheesecake and it was delicious, if not very set. The very talented Julia and Tom played some surprise songs on violin and guitar - so so sweet!

Watching: Nashville has been my guilty pleasure this past week… Why do I get addicted to TV shows so easily?

Reading: I read this article while scrolling Cookie & Kate's blog, and then I picked up this sort of related book at the library called Thrive by Ariana Huffington. I think it's a winner and will try to do a book review when I'm done.

Thanks so much for reading,

xx Jen
